New House!

We've officially moved! Yay! It was exhausting and stressful but totally worth it! We absolutely love our new house! We have some work to do...mostly painting and fixing a few minor issues...but it's so fun! I'm loving decorating and planning each room. We have a while to go before we are unpacked and fully settled but it is really starting to feel like home! Pictures to come soon!

So busy!

Wow! It's been awhile since I blogged...but honestly, we've been so busy! Our townhouse sold in early October and we bought a new house shortly after. We close on both homes Monday! We are busy packing up all our belongings right now and getting everything ready for the big move! I'm 30 1/2 weeks pregnant - I can't believe how fast time is flying by! Abby is excited for her new Princess bedroom (although there is only one Princess sign going in her room!). I am excited to get this all done and make our new house our home for the holidays and before our new baby girl arrives in January! Please say a prayer for us in the next week!

Summer!

I can't believe it's July already!! We've had a great summer so far! I've enjoyed being home with Abby and spending every day with her!! She's a riot! June brought Abby's 1st Cubs game with Auntie EB & Mommy, a trip to the zoo, a week long family vacation with the Vugteveen's in Michigan, and the announcement that we are expecting our 2nd child in January!! We are very excited!!

An update!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted! Things are going well over here...we put our townhouse on the market last Tuesday and are hoping and praying that God will allow this process to go smoothly and quickly! So cleaning is kind of our number one job right now, making sure our home is always in perfect showing condition! We are enjoying Springtime and finally having some warm weather in the Chicago area.
Abby is 28 months,potty trained, and talking up a storm - she's such a joy to be around! I have 3 weeks of school left and can't wait for the summer! I'm looking forward to my days home with her!!
This past weekend we got to enjoy time with both of our families! On Saturday, we celebrated EB's graduation from Purdue-Cal and on Sunday our niece, Avery Grace Jones, was baptized. It was a great weekend! We are looking forward to the holiday weekend ahead too!

New Laptop!!

I'm so excited to be giving an update on our new laptop! Hopefully I can better keep up with our blog now that we have a better computer!! Things are going well over here...midterms in school and Abby is potty training. We are excited for the arrival of our 11th niece/nephew in a week and a half!! Other than that...just enjoying our blessed life.

Hot, hot, hot!

Once again it is extremely hot and humid in the Chicagoland area and I am not a fan. It never seemed to bother me that much until recently. I guess I really like to be outside and like to take Abby outside but in this nasty weather it just isn't gonna happen. Abby touches anything outside and says "hot". It's pretty funny.
I realized yesterday that I'm kinda going stir-crazy. It's too hot to be outside but I get bored inside. I love being home with Abby and spending so much time with her but I miss my job too. I realized that I have to be thankful for what I have and stop always wishing for things that I don't. I love my husband and daughter, my entire family, my friends and my job. How many people can say that? I have to learn to be content. That is my prayer right now...to really be content with my life. God has blessed me and I have lost too many people in my life to not cherish every single day.

First Blog!

Well, being that I am a technology teacher I thought it was fitting that I start a blog and it seems that everybody else and their brother has a blog too....so...hear I am! Anyway..I thought it might be a nice way for everyone that lives far away to stay up to date on what's happening in our lives.
I am starting my 4th year teaching at Bednarcik Jr. High School in Oswego and right now I am enjoying my summer break and spending the days with Abigail. She is growing up so fast and I cannot believe that she is doing some of the things she is! Time sure flies! She's 18 months old now and is talking up a storm. This week she is in love with puzzles! Tim is still working at Argonne National Labs and continues to enjoy what he's doing there. We have been blessed with wonderful family and friends and are excited for what the future holds for us as a family!
